PETG, also known as Polyethylene terephthalate glycol, is a cost effective alternative to acrylic that harbours unique qualities including its ability to be pressure formed, heat-bent and vacuumed thanks to its low forming temperatures, making it popular for 3D printing projects. It also has much higher damage resistance while still being easily fabricated and machined to suit a number of applications. Generally this plastic is food safe too and can be utilised for food and beverage containers.
